Thermal Imaging

Thermal imaging detects energy in the form of heat. It uses infrared light, which is sensitive enough to pick up on differences of as little as 0.5 degrees Fahrenheit. This allows the inspector to "see" into hidden areas such as walls and insulation where other inspection methods may not be able to reach.

Thermal imaging is a good way to non-invasively check for thermal loss through cracks in exterior walls, siding, and around chimneys and vent pipes.
